I am all about science fiction - aliens, robots, zombies - you name it.
My office is decorated with posters from Doctor Who, The X Files, Firefly, and more.
When the Crafter's Cafe announced their "Just a Bit Out There" challenge (#31), I was thrilled. I combined my love of all things alien with Halloween, naturally, and Craftin' Boutique was hosting a Halloween challenge (#10)
.
The card depicts a scene of a lovable alien landing on Earth.
The moon is chalked in red, orange, and yellow. The clouds are chalked in gray and black. Both the moon and clouds came from the Cricut Cartridge Create a Critter 2. I wanted the sky to have the Halloween feel to it - hence the orange moon. You can see that the spaceship is popped up for dimension. It casts a shadow on the clouds.
The alien ship was cut from the Cricut Cartridge Boys will be Boys, but I added silver glitter to the ship dome to standout.
The alien was also cut from the Cricut Cartridge Boys will be Boys, and I added Wiggle Eyes. I also added a bit of sparkle to the alien's belly.
So... is he an alien or a child trick or treating? I'm not telling.
Cute card. I love the dimension and the googly eyes!
