I've enjoyed every challenge I participated in, and now, decided to make a card that summarizes all that I have learned this week.
A Pirate's Life |
I had this great wave paper, Margarita by American Crafts.
When I had to decide which direction I would go, I considered The Crafter Challenge: Just a Bit Out There #31. I decided go with a pirate theme.
Once I adhered the base paper, Pirate Sayings by DCWV, I cut the wave paper and rounded the edges. I cut a square out of Pirate Ships & Sharks by The Paper Studio. This paper was so colorful and busy, I added a white mat to the square so that there was some breathing room for all the patterns. I rounded all the corners to soften the square.
The card still needed something, so I went back to the motivation from The Male Room challenge: a masculine card with an animal (#5), and Rhedd & Rosie's challenge to create a masculine card. In a snap, I cut the vulture from the Cricut Cartridge Life's a Party.
My favorite parts of the card: the wiggle eye and black glitter paper for the vulture's body.
DCWV has great products. I love the added google eyes.
