One Sketch, Two Cards

Did you forget something?
ScrapbookerPhD is hosting our very first challenge. Click HERE to read all about it.

I love sketch challenges. The sketch influences all your decisions about placement, yet leaves you open for your theme.

In my last post, I talked about my inspiration by CAS: Color and Sketch. When that card, Hanukkah, was finished, it was no longer eligible for the challenge. It was a Clean and Simple challenge that also required a stamp. In this case, please don't enter the challenge if you haven't followed the rules.

So I decided to try again.

Since I was using the same sketch, I needed a totally new direction.

I found more inspiration at 365 Card Challenge: Someone had to choose a "tool" to use on your card. My husband chose my Cuttlebug; probably because I use it so infrequently, and he had just seen a card that I did emboss.

The base of this challenge was complete: Red, Yellow, and Blue embossed layers following the diagonal pattern from the sketch. Now, what do I put in the center of the card?

4 Crafty Chicks challenge this week: Wheels. With that in mind, here is what I came up with:

Let's compare now. Here is the Hanukkah card that used the same sketch:
