Diva-licious

I honestly couldn't resist playing with this Sassy Studio Designs image Evenora. She screamed Diva to me, and she has to be an artist going to a ball. I thought about actors and singers walking down the red carpet in various styles of fashion, and the fuss about what they were wearing the next day. Since I have been working on my gothic coloring, the shades of grey came to mind first, and then I decided on a real jewel tone, and went with green.

Spectrum Noir markers:
Face and Dress: IG1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9
Feathers and Cape: LG1, 3, ,5 and JG1 and 3

She needed more bling though, so I added a bit of glitter to her feathers and cape using Martha Stewart's glitter pen, Verdalite. That still wasn't enough, so I popped her up on a jewel green glitter cardstock. I use my Sizzix Framelits for these cuts.

After that, I went back to the idea of the red carpet. It seemed like a fantastic juxtaposition against the gothic coloring, and I used this beautiful background paper from Creative Imaginations (Elegance stack).

Bathtub Beauty

I am so thrilled to be presenting these card as part of the Design Team for Through The Purple Haze Challenges. Join us in the fun. Our Sponsor this week is Sassy Studio.

For this challenge, I used the Sassy Studio image Bubble Bath Sassy.

This looked like an incredible way to play with glitter and bling. I put glossy accents all over the bubbles (colored with Spectrum Noir). I shaded the bathtub with greys, and I added silver glitter around the bath tub. I considered the floor and thought that there might be water under the bathtub, and layered different blues to create the look (and a touch of blue glitter). I needed a sentiment, and Cards TV has a set called Hugs and Kisses. This sentiment was perfect. Two glass green beads finish her off.

Challenges Entered:
Digi Galore: Valentine/Love

Disney Red

Choose a color: red, pink or purple.

I went with red for the challenge over at Through the Purple Haze.

Since their sponsor is Sassy Studio Designs, I decided to use their Disney digital stamp.

For this card, I used a combination of Disney themed papers, and a Disney punch. To keep the "red" the focal point, I only inked the Mickey balloons and ears on the stamp and used a glittery red for the punches.

Such a fun card to make!
