For my project this week, I decided to look toward the coming summer and sitting by the pool, feeling the grass on my feet, and wearing my new sunglasses. Literally, this card came from me and my summer experiences. I image sending this card to a friend from out of town to come and stay with us for a long weekend.

I love this image and phrase from the Cricut cartridge, Summer Celebrations. I used bright colors on the circle and the umbrella. I thought about adding glitter, but the bright colors felt real to me without the glitter. I cut the grass from the Holiday Frames & Tags Cricut cartridge. The sunglasses were also from the Summer Celebrations cartridge. The patterned paper background is from the Recollections, Bold Basics stack. The white cardstock is embossed with a small floral folder from Cuttlebug. I used a gem from my stash for the center of the sunglasses.
